On Tuesday 28 February Linzy from St John Ambulance delivered a very fun, engaging and informative incursion called The St John’s Early Childhood Program, designed to provide free basic first aid training to 4-6 year olds in schools.
The program was beautifully delivered through storytelling and a special appearance from a Kura the paramedic bear. The students learned the definition of an emergency, how and when to call 000, they had a tour through an ambulance and even dressed up as paramedics during the visit. The incursion helped our students become familiar and feel safe to access help and medical care should they ever need it.
