Maylands Yacht Club is running a five-day sailing program these school holidays from 6-10 October, 9:00am-1:00pm. The course is open to school-aged children, from complete beginners to those with some sailing experience. The recommended minimum age is 10 years.

Using Mirror sailing dinghies, participants will learn the basics, and as their confidence grows, they will move on to more advanced skills such as gybing and sailing a triangular course. Parents are welcome to watch from shore, and younger children may take part with parental support.

Group sizes are small (6-12 participants), and buoyancy vests are provided.

Before submitting your enrolment enquiry please be aware of the following:
  • Limited places available in Year 3, 2026 and 2027
  • There are waitlists for Kindergarten and Year 7, 2026 and 2027
  • We encourage you to submit applications at least two years in advance.
