On Wednesday 21 May, the Senior School community came together for a fun and meaningful lunchtime event to raise funds for Beyond Blue. Students were invited to wear blue and bring a gold coin donation to show their support for mental health awareness – and they certainly delivered.
Thanks to the generosity of our students, staff and families, the College raised over $3,100 for Beyond Blue.
A highlight of the day was the Ice Bucket Challenge, where nominated staff members braved a freezing cold soaking in support of the cause. For every dollar donated, five ice blocks were added to a chosen teacher’s bucket. The crowd enjoyed seeing staff like Dr Darnelle Pretorius, Ms Hille, Mr Harris, Mr Lubbe, Mr Gillies and others take the icy plunge – all in good fun for a great cause.
We are proud of our Senior School students and staff for getting behind this initiative and showing compassion and community spirit!
