So many of the Year 6 students love their sport and are passionate about achieving their best in their chosen sports. Because of this, a very special surprise was organised: a visit from Elijah Hewett of the West Coast Eagles. This was an opportunity to learn from someone who has only recently gone before them and the students most definitely made the most of it.
The students relished the chance to hear just some of Elijah’s journey; the hard work he has had to put in both in sport and in his studies (you are welcome parents), those that spoke into his life and those that are his role models, the decisions and changes he had to make to get where he is now, and just how important his faith has been along the way.
Students relished the opportunity to ask questions and glean as much as they could from Elijah. It was so good to see the thought process as many students sought to find out all they could.
To finish it off students were treated to a photo with Elijah and many sought to get a signature.
