If you’re in Year 10 and considering a career in the trades, this is your chance to get hands-on with real tools at the Swan Trade Training Centre’s free Try a Trade Day. This event offers the opportunity to explore a range of trades, including Building and Construction, Electrotechnology, and Engineering: Heavy Metal Fabrication.
Date: Wednesday 4 June – internal students | Friday 6 June – external students

This hands-on day aims to:

Motivate students through real, practical experience in different trades.

Share current and honest information about future career choices.

Show participants that skill, education, and training offer real choices for the future.
Students will also have the chance to connect with industry professionals, apprentices, and VET trainers, gaining practical insights into potential career pathways.
