Luke Durbridge Scholarship

Swan Christian College is now accepting applications for the Luke Durbridge Sporting Scholarship for 2026. This scholarship, initiated by Swan alumnus and professional cyclist Luke Durbridge in 2015, supports young athletes aiming to excel in their chosen sport. Students entering Years 7-12 in 2026 are encouraged to apply by Friday 14 November.

The scholarship provides financial assistance for expenses such as equipment, travel, and coaching support.

To apply, students must have a high level of attendance and be in good academic and behavioural standing.

How to apply: Athletes must write a letter of application addressed to the Principal via the Principal’s PA, Mrs Natalee Friend, at natalee.friend@swan.wa.edu.au, by Friday 14 November, addressing the following criteria:

  • Name of applicant
  • Category of sport
  • Individual goals for the sport
  • How the candidate believes they would benefit from the scholarship
  • Why the candidate believes they are worthy of the scholarship.

We thank Luke Durbridge for his ongoing support of young athletes at Swan Christian College and look forward to seeing the next generation of sports stars.

Important Reminder: E-Scooter Age Requirements

For the safety and wellbeing of our students, we remind families that, under current legislation, students under 16 are not permitted to ride e-scooters.

Our College will not allow any student under the age of 16 to ride home on an e-scooter. If a student arrives at school on an e-scooter and is underage, parents will be contacted to arrange alternative transport home.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students safe and supporting our duty of care.

Managed Device Program – Action Required for Year 10, 2026

This week, parents of students who will be entering Year 10 in 2026 have received an important reminder email about the SCEA Managed Device Program. Families needing financial hardship assistance or wishing to request approval for a personal Apple device should also contact fees@scea.wa.edu.au or submit the Personal Device Specification Form by 31 October 2025.
