This week saw a variety of activities take place across the College, giving students opportunities to serve, perform and connect with others. On Monday, Swan Trade Training Centre students volunteered with the Salvation Army in Swan View, modelling our College focus on service. That same day, students proudly showcased their talents during the Creative Lab Exhibition at lunchtime, where parents were warmly welcomed to view their projects. Tuesday saw the Junior School buzzing with conversation as families engaged in parent-teacher interviews. On Thursday, our Year 3 students enjoyed their Sleepover Camp, while Senior School students impressed at the Music Solo and Ensemble Performances. Today, students were involved in a range of rich activities including the Senior School ACC Athletics Carnival, Year 9 and 10 Corporate Worship at Dreambuilders Church, a Year 2 excursion to WA Museum Boola Bardip, and a Kindergarten trip to Caversham Wildlife Park.

This week, parents of students in Kindergarten to Year 11 (on-campus) received an important second communication about the transition from Bring Your Own Device to the Managed Devices program commencing in 2026. Read more here. If you are a Swanonline parent, the managed device rollout program will not apply for your children.
SCEA is moving from BYOD to a Managed Device Program to better support student wellbeing and classroom learning. This transition will take place in stages from 2026 to 2028 and will be reviewed each year to reflect feedback and respond to emerging needs.
The program aims to:
Provide a safe and focused learning environment
Keep teachers central to learning
Support families with technical, financial and wellbeing considerations

On Wednesday 24 September, we are holding our Senior Instrumental Music Evening, showcasing the incredible work of our senior ensembles throughout the semester. We are excited to share this special event with you and invite you to attend.

This morning, our Year 3s were shown around the Swan Trade Training Centre and learned how to make a wooden toy car, a metal toy box and electrical circuitry. Our STTC students and staff expertly showed our Year 3s around the workshop.
The students even tried their hand at decorating delicious large cookies in the Hospitality kitchen and enjoyed tasting the results of their culinary creations!
Let’s hope the experience inspired some of our Year 3 students to explore a hospitality or trade pathway in the future.

We’re excited to invite families to this year’s Junior School production, Hop It, Poppit!, presented by Fenceline Theatre. This original performance promises a delightful mix of humour, heart and important life lessons.
What it’s about
Somewhere far, far away, a king and a queen lived in a castle, surrounded by their royal subjects – except the subjects were not so loyal. The people of the kingdom had grown tired of their king’s unkindness. Over time, he had become harsh and cruel, ignoring the queen’s gentle warnings. Then one day, something strange happened: the prince mysteriously turned into a frog and hopped right out of the kingdom!
Our Junior School students will bring this colourful and meaningful story to life through song, movement and drama. It’s a production the whole family will enjoy.
Earlybird Special
Take advantage of earlybird pricing if you book before 26 September.

Living Well teachers accompanied the students and supported the morning. The group was away for Period 1 and part of Period 2 before returning to classes.
Let’s pray that students were positively impacted by this experience and continue to seek Christ.
