Dear Parent/Guardian

This week has been filled with activity and opportunities for growth across the College. Year 11 exams commenced, while our Year 9 French students enjoyed a cultural and culinary experience at Maison St Honore on Monday. That same day, we were pleased to honour our dedicated volunteers at the Volunteer Morning Tea. On Tuesday, Pre Primary to Year 5 students participated in a successful Junior School Orientation Day. On Thursday, our Year 6 students explored immigration history during their visit to the WA Maritime Museum. Today, students embraced the festive spirit with Christmas Free Dress Day, and our Year 10 students served the community through volunteer work at the Salvation Army. Parents gathered for Coffee and Connect this morning, where Principal Darnelle Pretorius spoke on the important theme of parents as leaders. Year 7 to 9 students represented the College in a Tennis Scratch Match, and this afternoon, Pre Primary to Year 6 students shared their musical talents in our Music Assembly.

Looking ahead, next week’s events include:

  • Monday: Kindergarten Transition Day 2

  • Thursday: Explore STEM at Edith Cowan University for 19 Year 9 students

  • Friday: Year 5 and 6 play Indoor Beach Volleyball; Visual Art Tour training session; Junior School Community Christmas Carols

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up."

Midland Line Closure: 22 January – 22 February 2026

As part of the New Midland Station Project, the Public Transport Authority has advised that Transperth services on the Midland Line between Midland and Bassendean will be cancelled from Thursday 22 January to Sunday 22 February 2026.

This closure may affect students and staff who regularly travel to the College using this service. Train replacement buses will be in operation during the shutdown, however we strongly encourage families to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel during this period.
