This week has been a full and rewarding one across the College. Our Year 12 students began their examinations, while selected Junior School students represented the College at the WACSSA Soccer Carnival. Cross Country training sessions continued before school on Tuesday and Friday for selected students.
In the Senior School, selected students took part in both the WA Netball Carnival and the NEAS Netball/Soccer Carnival on Tuesday. Emergency Cadets participated in a rock climbing activity on Wednesday, building confidence and teamwork through the experience. That same day, Senior School parents received an email regarding Christian Living Classes, inviting consent for their child to participate in focus groups that will help us deepen our understanding of Christian identity and student support across the College.
Next week, our Year 7 boys will head off to their rescheduled camp, making up for the time lost earlier in the year due to severe weather. Year 10 students will take part in two Try a Trade Days, with Swan students attending on Wednesday and external students on Friday. These days offer valuable hands-on exposure to a range of trades. Year 10 exams will also be underway. In the Junior School, students are preparing for the Eisteddfod on Thursday, and selected students will represent us at the ACC Cross Country Carnival that same day. We’re also looking forward to Friday’s Year 4 Assembly, where students will creatively explore ‘journeys through history’ through music and performance.
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me."

Don’t miss this laugh-out-loud comedy suitable for the whole family! Making Robin Hood is a clever and chaotic play directed by Jane Hille, featuring Swan Christian College alumni.
Set around a group of actors preparing for a medieval theatre festival, the play follows their attempt to rework the legendary Robin Hood tale with a hilarious twist – a feminist version of the classic story performed mostly by men. Add in a dragon, a confused storyline, and a director’s assistant who insists she’s a star, and you’ve got a recipe for comedy gold.

On Thursday 22 May, 79 enthusiastic Year 4 students headed off on their first ever camp, supported by eight dedicated staff members. With the theme Ninja Academy, students embraced challenges that built resilience, courage, teamwork and perseverance. The camp was filled with laughter, personal growth and unforgettable memories.
Activities encouraged students to support one another, face their fears, and have fun—whether dancing, tackling challenges or simply enjoying each other’s company. We’ve received many kind messages from families, including: “She came back full of stories and great memories,” and, “Thank you for giving them the experience and easing parents’ nerves.”
A heartfelt thank you to our staff for making this milestone event so memorable.
Departing on Sunday 22 June 2025, Year 6 students from our school will be undertaking an education tour of the national capital. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding of $510 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.
