This week has been filled with a variety of activities and opportunities for our students. On Monday, our Year 11 students enjoyed a delightful evening on the River Cruise. Tuesday brought much joy in the Junior School as students celebrated Loud Shirt Day and welcomed guests for the Grandparents Picnic. That same day, our Year 10 students attended the Alumni Lunch, hearing stories and insights from past graduates. On Wednesday, staff took to the court in the exciting Alumni vs Staff Basketball Game. Yesterday, we were pleased to host local church leaders at the College for the Pastors Morning Tea. Today, students participated in a community service initiative with the Salvation Army, our Year 1s presented their assembly, and the Media Department held the Borrowed Song Lunch. We look forward to concluding the week with the Alumni Spring Sundowner this evening.
Looking ahead, next week’s events include:
"But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy."
We kindly remind all parents and students that the bus service lane is designated for bus use only. For the safety of all members of our College community, we ask that you do not walk or drive through this area at any time.
Using the bus lane as a thoroughfare is very dangerous and can cause delays for scheduled services. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and efficient environment during busy arrival and departure times.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
From 10 December 2025, new government legislation will require social media platforms to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians under 16 from creating or keeping accounts. This includes platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
Swan Christian College supports this change as an important step in protecting young people online. We encourage parents to keep their children off social media for as long as possible and to help them build healthy online habits.
Parents and carers are encouraged to join free webinars in November and December to learn more:
