On Friday 28 November the Associated and Catholic Colleges held their annual Service Awards event at the University Club of WA Banquet Hall. This venue also hosted the end of year Council and Sports Management Committee meetings later that morning.
The College was represented by Dr Darnelle Pretorius (Principal), Mr Sam Tweedie (Head of Health and Physical Education) and Mr Ryan Faed (Dean of Sport). Mr Faed accepted an award on behalf of the College for winning the 2026 NEAS titles for Year 7 girls basketball, Year 8-9 girls netball and Year 10-12 boys soccer.
A breakfast was served and attendees heard from a panel of guests, including the 2026 Senior Australian of the Year, Brother Thomas Oliver Pickett AM. Brother Pickett played a key role in the foundation of Wheelchairs for Kids, which provides adjustable wheelchairs and occupational therapy expertise to children in developing countries at no cost.
This was a meaningful occasion that highlighted both achievement and service within our wider school community.
