Remembering Jesus

This term, a new extension group, the Dramatic Arts Enrichment Program (DAEP), is being trialled in Junior School. The students in this program have been working on a new Easter Presentation called ‘Remembering Jesus’. This little play looks at how early disciples might have begun to retell the stories of Jesus’ life on earth. The students have been really engaged in this creative project and have learnt about aspects of performance and theatre, voice, character and movement.

We look forward to sharing this interpretation with you all on 12 April at 1:30pm in the Maali Mia Theatre.

Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Adaption by Dr. Carolyn Harper

Rehearsals have begun for Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ (adaptation by Dr. Carolyn Harper) and it has been very exciting to see so much talent involved in this wonderful production.

We are rehearsing choreography at lunch times on Tuesday and Thursday and again after school on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:00pm. This is a modern and fun reinterpretation of this classic story of allusions, love and forest fairies. We are having so much fun.

Please save the date for this upcoming performance on 25 & 27June at 7:15pm in the Maali Mia Theatre
