At the end of Term 2, our junior school was kindly donated 40 native plants by SERCUL (South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare), with help from our Groundman Mr Dean Wakefield, our kindy kids set out to plant the native tube-stock across our wild play zone.
Within a school term, staff, students, and families are only ever five weeks away from a holiday. This rhythm aligns with the ebb and flow of our College, shaping the routines and rituals that form our community's culture.
On Thursday 30 May Swan competed in the senior ACC interschool cross-country carnival at Perry Lakes Reserve in Floreat. Having been selected from our house cross-country carnival approximately 60 students participated in the 3km or 4km race.
Parents are strongly encouraged to be mindful of the safety of our children and park safely and legally around the College.
Please note our school holiday opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Additionally, Monday 15 July is a Student Free Day. Term 3 will commence on Tuesday 16 July 2024 and conclude on Friday 20 September 2024.

All parents are invited to the Annual School Members Meeting organised by the Parent Christian Life Committee (PCLC) on Friday 26 July.
Swan Christian College were proud to present the inaugural Creative Lab exhibition of artworks presented for the Community Arts Endorsed Program. There was a real ‘buzz’ as parents, students and guests milled about the Maali Mia viewing a variety of created works, occasionally interrupted by a music, laser light show, musical performance, dance or drama item – also part of the exhibition.
Starting in Term 4, Year 5 and 6 students will have the chance to explore the College grounds on two wheels.
Year 5 had an exciting trip to Fremantle, exploring its rich history and fascinating landmarks. The adventure began with a tour of the Fremantle Prison, where students learned about the lives of past inmates.
On Friday 24 May, the Year 6 boys and girls headed down to the Maida Vale Reserve to participate in the WACSSA Soccer Carnival, delivering impressive performances.
Our Year 4 students visited Kings Park on Tuesday 28 May. During this excursion, they learned about how to survive in the wild and the resources they could use.
On 12 June, Senior School students swapped their uniforms for cozy winter wear to support the Salvation Army Winter Appeal. They donated gold coins, non-perishable food, gently-used warm clothing, and blankets to help those in need this winter.
It was great to have alumni Alec Clark join the Year 9 Specialist Football class last week. Alec shared his journey from playing at Swan Districts FC to seizing the opportunity to play College NFL in West Virginia.
