During this COVID-19 period, our Living Well program has continued. Students in Middle and Senior School have continued to participate in their Period 1 Living Well lessons on Fridays. Our SEQTA platform for Living Well has been expanded and is very relevant for all our community – students, parents and staff.
I would highly encourage you to access this space on SEQTA Engage/Learn if you haven’t already done so. The platform provides links for parents and students on a range of topics:
- School TV
- Cyber safety platforms (free access)
- Friday Living Well lesson information
- Wellbeing weekly calendar
- Les Mills online fitness classes (free access) and;
- Mental health websites and resources.
It has been great seeing students and staff using the Fitness Centre, whilst being deliberate in using the hand wash and wiping down all their equipment after use. Students from the Senior School, Middle School and Trade Training Centre have all been utilising the Centre.
School TV is a great resource for parents and care givers of any child. Can I encourage you to view our Swan Christian College School TV page and in particular the link to Physical Health? https://swan.wa.schooltv.me/newsletter/physical-activity-exercise
For any areas of wellbeing needs, please feel free to contact your child’s Mentor Teacher direct either via their email address or alternatively the College phone number. Please also remember that our College has both School Psychologists and Chaplains on campus each day of the week.
Mr Simon Bergin
Deputy Head of Middle School
