The start of any year is exciting, with high expectations in the air. At the College, the first three weeks of Term 1 bustle with activity, with none more crucial than welcoming new families. This year, our College saw growth by 50 students across Kindergarten to Year 11. Our new Year 4 class is now full, and our third Year 5 class has also reached capacity. Additionally, several students joined the College at the Year 9 and 10 levels, and it brings us great joy to welcome these new members to our community.
We warmly invite you and your family to tour our campus on Thursday 7 March. If you are a current parent and you know someone who may be interested in finding out more about Swan Christian College, please feel free to invite them to the tour. Register today.
On Friday 23 February, the 2024 Student Leadership Team hosted an incredible event for the Year 11 cohort. All SCEA schools were invited to be part of this conference for students, run by students. It is designed to encourage young people to aspire to step up and lead; to be the change they want to see.
On Friday 22 March, our Kindy to Year 2 students are getting ready for our inaugural Cultural Celebration Day – a fantastic opportunity to honour every tongue, tribe and nation!
This April, Swan Christian College's Fenceline Theatre Company is set to enchant audiences with their upcoming Senior School production of the timeless classic, Little Women.
What a night we had on Wednesday, 30 November! The Junior School oval turned into a festive wonderland as our Kindy to Year 6 kids put on an amazing Carols by Candlelight show. It was a perfect mix of Christmas cheer and talented performances from our young stars.
On 19 November 2023, Swan Christian College participated in the LEGO League Regional Tournament at Aquinas College. The Lego League Club has been running on Thursday afternoons for students from Years 5 to 10 since 2016 and allows students the opportunity to build on their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) skills such as robotics, engineering and coding.
Congratulations to Shenton House for winning the combined House Shield for 2023!
This term 24 students from Year 10 successfully completed the Shark Tank eSchool program as part of their Business Management and Enterprise class. The Shark Tank ESchool program is designed to develop business and entrepreneurial skills in students.
The student leaders met together on Tuesday 28 November with Mrs Helen Poole, Mr Simon Bergin, Mrs Teneale Leaver, Lily F and Trent H who have newly graduated from the Year 12 Leadership Team.

On Wednesday, 6 December, the brand new Wild Play Zone was unveiled, ready to welcome a throng of excited children, parents and staff.
As we bid farewell to 2023, we are compelled to reflect upon the remarkable journey we've shared as a community. In celebrating the achievements of our students, we find inspiration in the words of 2 Corinthians 9:8: "And God is able to make all grace abound unto you; that you, having always all sufficiency in everything, may abound unto every good work."
Christmas in Elfenbrook is a free family event on Saturday 9 December at Main Street, Ellenbrook, for City of Swan residents and the wider community.
The Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) at Palmer Barracks in South Guildford will be accepting new members in February 2024. Boys and girls turning 13-15 in 2024 will be eligible to join.
The Midvale Hub Parenting Service's term planner for 2024 has been finalised.

By addressing topics like kindness, empathy, and communication, parents create a foundation for healthy interactions. These discussions promote awareness of boundaries, consent, and mutual understanding, fostering a safe environment where children can thrive. Teaching respect from an early age equips kids with essential skills to navigate friendships and romantic relationships, building a future based on empathy and equality. Open dialogues about respect empower children to recognise and value their own feelings and those of others, cultivating a positive and harmonious approach to all relationships.
The Swan Valley Kids Adventure Club is an all-new after-school program available for children in Years 4 - 6 providing them an opportunity to participate in our awesome outdoor activities during the school term.
Looking for a great way to spend your Sunday morning with your kids? The Kids Beach Volleyball Ice Cream Friendly Games in City Beach on 17 December are a great opportunity for your kids to enjoy beach volleyball, have a blast with friends, and savour delicious ice cream treats.
Ellenbrook Arts HQ is holding Saturday Morning Cartoon Drawing Workshops on 25 November.
