In Kindergarten, students are learning how to tell the story of The Little Red Hen as part of the Talk for Writing program.
As part of our Talk for Writing, we discovered a poetry unit and had a go at becoming poets!

A Fremantle-based not-for-profit organisation is offering a range of youth sail training voyages in 2026, giving young people the opportunity to build leadership, teamwork, resilience, confidence, and community through hands-on sailing experiences.
Departing on Saturday 20 June, 79 Year 6 students from our school will be undertaking an education tour of the national capital.
Students in Years 1-6 gathered in the Undercover Area at 8:30am on Thursday 2 April for the announcement of the Junior School House points for Term 1.
On Thursday 26 March, we held our Senior Ensemble Music Evening at the Maali Mia Theatre. It was a great night, with our senior ensembles performing to an appreciative audience of families and staff after a full term of rehearsals.
The College would like to make families aware of a range of free parenting programs and workshops available in Term 2 through the Midvale Hub Parenting Service (Perth North East). These sessions are designed to support parents and carers in strengthening family relationships, building confidence in parenting, and supporting the wellbeing and development of children and young people.
Families in our community may be interested to know that local club Valley United CFC is currently looking for new players for the 2026 season.
Peer pressure is a natural part of growing up. As children and adolescents place greater importance on friendships and belonging, the influence of peers can shape their choices, behaviour and sense of identity. While this influence can be positive, it can also create pressure to conform or take risks, particularly during adolescence.
On Wednesday 25 March, Mr Zachary MacLachlan, Dean of Christian Living, organised a SCEA Lighthouse Day where Lighthouse CRU students from several SCEA schools came together for a time of encouragement and connection.
We are pleased to introduce the Swan Christian College Careers Team, people dedicated to supporting students as they explore and plan their pathways beyond school. The team consists of Nathalee Holmes (Workplace Learning Coordinator), Cheri MacDonagh (Worklink Manager), and David Pethick (Careers Practitioner), working collaboratively to provide guidance and opportunities for all students.
At Swan Christian College, we always strive to bring the curriculum to life. We believe in "boots on the ground" learning, which is why we are thrilled to announce the launch of our very own Sustainable Vegetable Patch.
On Friday 20 March, our Senior School students marked Cultural Celebration Day together as a community.
We are excited to present Fenceline Theatre Company's latest production, The Sound of No Music! Featuring our Senior School students, this promises to be a hilarious production.
Our Senior School gathered for Easter Services this week, taking time to reflect on the Easter message and the hope we have through Jesus. It was a meaningful time of worship and reflection for our College community.
