Many parents have reported excessive screen time as the number one health concern affecting kids, especially now in the hyperconnected world we live in. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that there should be no screen time at all for children under two, less than an hour a day for children aged from two to five, and less than two hours for five to 17 year olds.

We are thrilled to share the magic of the Year 5 Fantasy Land Exhibition that took place on Wednesday, 27 March! It was a wondrous showcase of creativity and imagination as our students unveiled their fantastical worlds to the school community.
On Monday 18 March, the Year 10-12 Interschool cricket team, affectionately known as ‘The Dingoes’ headed off to the finals day of the Graeme Wood Shield. This day saw the top four teams (out of 26) from across the metropolitan area playing semi-finals in the morning, with the grand final and the playoff for 3rd and 4th held in the afternoon.
The Languages Department is delighted to announce the 2024 team of Languages Ambassadors. The role of the Ambassadors is to promote the value and benefit of learning a language throughout the school community and to plan and organize events throughout the year that celebrate languages.
We're thrilled to celebrate Year 11 student Amelia W, whose talent has propelled her into the finals of The Lester Prize (Youth), one of Australia's most prestigious portraiture awards. This recognition places her among the nation's top young artists, an incredible honour considering the competition's stature just behind the renowned Archibald Prize.
Tuesday 5 March was the perfect day at HBF Stadium for our Year 4-6 Junior School Swimming Carnival! Our students dove into the pool with enthusiasm and showed off their swimming skills.
On Friday, 22 March, our school community came together for a vibrant Cultural Celebration Day, embracing the diversity that defines us.
We're thrilled to announce that our phone lockers for Years 7 and 8 are now installed and operational. Locker assignments, including locker number and 4-digit lock, will have been distributed to students on Friday, 23 February, and Year 7 and 8 students have started using them since Monday, 26 February. Phones must be stored in lockers before Mentor Group at 8:40am and can be retrieved after the final class at 3:05pm.  
On Tuesday, 6 February and Wednesday, 14 February 2024 our Senior School students competed in the House Swimming Carnival at Bayswater Waves. On Tuesday the Year 10-12 students competed and the following Wednesday was the Year 7-9 students' turn.
Roblox is a large, popular online gaming platform where users create and share their own virtual 3D worlds or use their avatar to play games and interact in worlds designed by other users. Game designs and objectives are limited only by user imagination (and their coding abilities), and include anything from shooter-style or fighting games to sports, murder mysteries, or virtual pet care.

The Rotary Youth Exchange is offering a full scholarship to a suitable student whose family would otherwise be unable to fund it. They want to give the opportunity to a young person who shows a commitment to working to the best of their ability and demonstrates care for others.
